The question I hear most before a first boudoir session is always the same: I do not know if I will know how to be. Let me answer it in advance: you do not need to know how to be. That is my job.
I have been accompanying women and men in boudoir sessions in Granada since 2016, and couples too. Every time someone writes to me with that doubt, I remember the first time someone trusted me with theirs. What follows is what I wish I had read before that first session.
Start with a conversation
Everything starts without a camera. A long conversation about you, about what you are looking for, and about any questions you have. We do not talk about poses, we talk about how you feel. It is the moment to say what you do not want, and also what you feel like trying.
From that conversation comes a simple guide: what clothes to have on hand, what time of day the light is best, and what to expect on the day of the session. No endless lists.
The clothes are not a test
The rule is simple: bring what makes you feel like you. It can be new lingerie, a shirt you already own, a soft jumper, or none of those things. During the session we try combinations and decide together as we go.
What really matters is that you recognise yourself. The photo is not a costume, it is a way of looking at yourself.
The day of the session
The space is private and quiet. Only you and I are there, and no one else enters. There is music, there is calm, and there is time. I guide you with natural directions, nothing weird and nothing that hurts.
You can stop whenever you want, change your mind whenever you want, and say no at any moment. The session is yours from start to finish.
Afterwards, the photos
You choose first. You look at the selection and decide which ones you want, and the ones that do not represent you do not exist. Nothing is published without your written permission. If you ever want to share one, you decide which one, where, and when.
The retouching is natural. The idea is not to change you, it is for you to recognise yourself in the light.
What nobody tells you
Most of my clients leave the session saying the same thing: it was not that hard. It turns out the body was never the problem. The problem was the voice that said you were not enough. That voice stays outside the studio.
